Don Creasey; began building homes in the 1950’s. His dream had always been to build his own log home. The Creasey family owned 30 acres in Monroe. There was an old log cabin on the property which had been there since the late 1800’s. It was in poor condition but they were able to live in it for several years. While living in the old home they constructed a basement which became the foundation for their log home. In 1978 their dream had been accomplished when at last they had finished their log home.
