The Wood Whisperer is an engrossing and entertaining book about woodworking from a professional woodworker. Marc Spagnuolo’s writing provides fascinating, sometimes comical details of the process. It’s a must-read for any woodworker, whether they’re just starting out or are attempting a new project.
A furniture maker in Arizona, Marc Spagnuolo also hosts a woodworking video podcast. Spagnuolo first got into woodworking as a hobby, but soon discovered that he was very passionate about it. He went on to train as an apprentice with woodworking personality David Marks and created a podcast that showcases the craft.
Marc started The Wood Whisperer in 2006, and has since written dozens of books, created content, and hosted a number of events. He is an introvert, but has found success in the woodworking industry. His book teaches both hand-tool and power-tool techniques.
Shannon Woodwhisperer is a professional woodworker and blogger. She has taught woodworkers on six continents. Her blog is called Renaissance Woodworking, and she teaches woodworking with hand tools through a paid membership site, The Hand Tool School. She is launching a new podcast in 2019.
