He is a co-founder of Weekend Woodworking Projects Magazine.
Several years back, the aforementioned magazine was in a class of its own. It paired the likes of a few industry luminaries like a neophyte narrator and an old timer that was in the know. It was a good time and I still remember the good ol’ days. It was the only woodworking publication I ever subscribed to. It was a great experience showcasing a large proportion of a new breed of’serial’ woodworkers who were a likeable bunch. One such was the aforementioned John McLaughlin. The best part is they all got along well, and even bonded on a few sex related mishaps. Besides being a devoted husband and wife, they were both woodworkers at heart. Besides, it was also the cheapest magazine in the city that I ever subscribing to. The magazine is still with us, although the aforementioned John McLaughlin is no longer with us. Hopefully the foregoing will make a return visit in the not too distant future.
